Unaffiliate Committee

The KSC Unaffiliate Committee is comprised of three members, each assigned to a region of the state. Through the International P.E.O. website, we generate a report of the unaffiliate sisters within our state. The report is edited, formatted, and emailed to all chapter presidents and reciprocity groups within the state in the odd numbered months from September to May.

So, you have received the list. What do you do next? Contact any or all the sisters within your area. Invite those sisters to visit and participate in your chapter meetings, socials and small group activities. Help them adjust to their new community. Ask the unaffiliates if they prefer a day or night chapter. Any changes or updates to their information should be forwarded back to the KSC Unaffiliate committee. The committee appreciates hearing back from chapters about updates regarding a sister’s information, i.e., chapter changes, address changes or phone numbers.

Extending an invitation to transfer to an unaffiliate requires a favorable voice vote by your chapter, followed by sending a written Invitation to Transfer to the sister. Unaffiliate sisters are active members whose ideas, knowledge and experiences will enrich your chapter. If an unaffiliate is not interested in your chapter, encourage her to contact other chapters in your area.
