Amendments can be proposed to International documents (the Constitution of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Bylaws and Standing Rules of International Chapter, the Procedure for the P.E.O. Chapter Meeting, Opening Ode, Objects and Aims, Ceremony of Initiation and Ceremony of Installation) and to the Bylaws and Standing Rules of Kansas State Chapter.
The Kansas State Chapter Amendments and Recommendations Committee (A&R) is here to assist. Now is the time for your chapter to consider proposing a change. There are several questions you need to consider before submitting the proposed change.
- Why do you want the change?
- What do you expect as the result?
- What are the financial impacts? Will this proposed change generate revenue or add additional expenses?
The earlier you communicate with A&R for a proposed amendment the more we can do to assist you in your submission. Proposed amendments to International documents need to be sent to the A&R Committee by December 1, 2024, to edit and finalize for the January 1, 2025, International documents deadline. Proposed amendments to KSC documents need to be sent by January 1, 2025, for the Kansas deadline of February 1, 2025.
