Starting this August, KSC Organizer Mary McGehee’s Board Buddies will be visited. (To find out if you are one of Mary’s Board Buddies, click here.) As much as Mary would like to visit all 48 of her board buddy chapters, she cannot physically do it, and the other executive board members are helping her by visiting some of her chapters. If your chapter will be visited this fall, a board member should have contacted your chapter president with information about when they will visit.
For Mary’s Board Buddy chapters, it has been five years since they were last visited and might wonder what to expect.
- DO NOT be nervous!!
- Fill out the forms that are sent to the chapter president and return them to the board member who is visiting.
- Each of the chapter’s seven officers are required to be at the Officer Meeting.
- The visiting executive board member will ask each officer some questions but are not there to inspect the chapter’s books.
- This is a good time to address concerns and to celebrate joys.
- The visiting executive board member will meet and join the officers in the chapter meeting.
- During the chapter meeting, the visiting executive board member will share information and news from Kansas State Chapter and International Chapter. A good time for her to do this is during “Remarks from Visitors.”
- The visit should be a nice time where we can all enjoy each other in sisterly love.
