Major Membership Milestones: Celebrating Sisters with 60+ Years in P.E.O.
Happy anniversary to our Kansas P.E.O. sisters!!
When sisters reach 50 years of membership, they are celebrated as Golden Girls in their local chapters and at a luncheon at the Convention of Kansas State Chapter. Their pictures are also posted on the P.E.O. Kansas Facebook page to mark this milestone. But what about sisters who have been in P.E.O. for 60 or more years?More

Great articles in this issue! In our HA Chapter we have 6 sisters reaching this milestone! Our chapter would like to recognize them with a 60 year pin. The question is how do we pay for that out of our treasury; which we have in our account, and NOT have to announce this expense out loud at our monthly meeting? Is there a way around this “awkard moment”? 5 of these 6 are still attending monthly and it feels like giving someone a Christmas present and them telling them how much you spent on it.
Not sure how to proceed; please pass along this question and would very much appreciate if there is a work around.
